Abubakarr Salieu Bah was born in March 1982 in Makeni and attended the Saint Francis Secondary School, Makeni. He was employed as the Public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Standards Bureau in June 2014.

He has a decade of experience in Broadcast Journalism. He was the News Editor of Cotton Tree News (CTN); an independent media organization that was established in Sierra Leone to build media capacity following the end of the rebel war. He had served several community radio stations and newspapers such as Radio Mankeneh 95.1 FM, Skyy Radio 106, Kalleone Radio 105.7, Standards Times and Salone Times Newspapers respectively. In 2005, He was the Northern region correspondent and Bureau Chief for the Concord Times Newspaper.

On the 13th April 2013, Mr. Bah was duly elected as National Publicity Secretary of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ); the umbrella Media body in Sierra Leone He was a strong advocate for the enactment of the Freedom of Information Law in Sierra Leone in 2013. He was also President of the Mass Communication Students Association (MACOSA), Fourah Bay College in the 2011/2012 academic year.
