3 Microbiology Department
This department undertakes microbiological analysis on a wide range of products including food and environmental swabs, water, and materials to ascertain level of safety and compliance with applicable standards. By design, there are two (2) laboratories under the department:
1 Food Microbiology Laboratory – which undertakes microbiological analysis on food products, agriculture produce, potable water and environmental swabs to ascertain levels of safety.
2 Environmental Microbiology Laboratory – which undertakes microbiological analysis on products such as water (nonportable), and other materials.
Note: Currently, only the Food Microbiology Laboratory has been established in this department
